I think I didn't express myself clearly enough in my post. To be honest, the title was just to grab attention. I honestly completely agree with your opinion: if you aren't passionate about a topic, then you shouldn't create a blog around it, nor should you create a blog around a sub-topic your blog might already explore.

What I meant was in a situation where you want to write about something completely irrelevant to your blog. Such as talking about human rights and poverty in India on a blog about...I dunno...cats? (Cats seems to be the only example coming to my mind lately. I don't even like cats.) Even if you have three really great posts planned about the struggles in India, you might not be passionate about the topic in a month, or you might not have the effort to put into a new blog.

However, why not share your ideas via forums? (Or in your case, posterous). My point was simply that you should stop creating multiple blogs for things you really can't expand upon, because it could harm your productivity, and even your image if people call you out on trying to be something you're not.

Sorry if that scrambled in my post. My ideas don't always come out of my head the way I want them to. Thanks for visiting my blog and reading, tho. I would never stop blogging completely, I love it too much.
