Ice cream is one thing among the few words that first come to your mind, when you talk about Summer. As I was relishing my cone ice cream today, the story of how it came into existence came to my mind. I don’t remember where or from whom I had heard it, but it was about a nice innovation.
A story of how a casual comment was taken serious and converted into an innovative product.

The story is set somewhere in America. At the time, Ice-creams were a craze. But the problem faced the large amount of plastic cups that were dumped resulting in various environmental problems.
To deal with how to manage these cups the people of a town, came together and discussed. They thought about all possible things, from collecting the cups, recycling it to fining people who do not put the cups in dustbins. They also thought about replacing the plastic cups with paper, but the problem was “if the ice-cream melts, then it’s going to wet the cup and freezing it in a fridge would be useless”.
Then from somewhere came this comment, “Well, if the plastic cups are indeed a problem, then eat them up!”. This might look like a mocking comment, but the people of the town, took it in a positive sense and came up with something that solved their problem. They made eatable cups, which would carry a scoop of ice cream. Thus was born the “Cone Ice-Cream”, where nothing harmful to the environment (plastics) is produced as waste.
On the path to success and glory you will be showered with appreciation and good wills. But there shall also be ill-comments and critisism. Be positive, get inspired by them and innovative. Today’s world is creative, but isn’t as creative as it should have been. Learn more about yourself from every comment made about you. There are enough people out there to find mistakes in you. Don’t shoo them away, because, they help you attain perfection.
